84 countries and territories will compete for the title of Miss Universe 2009 and it will be held at the Atlantis Paradise Island, in Nassau, Bahamas on August 23, 2009. Miss Universe 2008, Dayana Mendoza from Venezuela, will crown her successor at the end of this event.
